Genesis Kennels was founded with a clear mission: to develop balanced, reliable personal protection dogs, with a primary focus on empowering women through real, capable canine protection.
Woman-owned and created, Genesis Kennels exists to challenge outdated training models and redefine what a personal protection dog should be. Our program emphasizes clarity, trust, and true understanding, not compulsion or shortcuts. We do not use e-collars in our training. Instead, we
rely on structured engagement, clear communication, and relationship-based development to produce dogs that think, respond, and protect with purpose.
Our foundation is built on the principles and experience gained through @altitude_k9, which laid the groundwork for our training philosophy and standards. From that base, Genesis Kennels was formed to focus specifically on family-safe, public-appropriate protection dogs — animals that are stable in everyday life, yet capable of decisive action when it truly matters.
We believe a protection dog should never be a liability. Every dog in our program is developed to be socially neutral, environmentally stable, and mentally sound, while still possessing the confidence and drive required for personal protection work. Our training prioritizes discernment over reactivity, ensuring dogs understand when to engage and when to remain calm.
At Genesis Kennels, our ultimate goal is simple but powerful: to provide people with faithful companions capable of deterring and stopping real threats, while remaining safe, manageable, and integrated into daily life.
